Why this answer works
- This is a friend, so it is informal: Lieber Tom, — Lieber for a man, Liebe for a woman.
- Small letter after the comma: vielen Dank…
- Point 2 uses Leider first, which pushes the verb to position 2, then denn for the reason.
- Point 3 is a question with the verb first: Können wir uns…treffen?
- Informal close Viele Grüße — never Mit freundlichen Grüßen to a friend.
